REAL LIFE CHARACTERS

You readers are familiar fictional characters. We story writers develop characters based on story concepts. Developing characters is part of story writing. Have you read real life living characters? Wired characters from low life? Here I have not developed or improved upon their character . I just wrote the way they are . They all worked with me for years . Read real characters. Stranger than fiction.
Room boy No one. Rajesh
He was a short guy around 16 years old. He was a pet room boy of caretaker John.
In our lodge one man stayed with his wife and infant baby. He used to sell Buble bottom can water from morning to late night. Room boy befriends his wife. He spent most of his time with that man's wife when her husband was away at work. Room boy started bragging his sexual encounters with the married woman to other room boys. Later he was kicked out of job. Last heard about him… he is working as head loader in his native place.
Room boy No two. Alagesh
He was short guy around 18 years old. Owner Srinivasan was found of him.He give him undue importance and the guy started talking advantage of the situation. We had old lady Cook. Guy started illicit relationship with the old lady. Other room boys says that he goes missing in the late night and asked me to trace him through CCTV. and we found him entering into the old lady 's room. Things were running smooth..
After lunch We were watching a TV Program in the lobby. Suddenly he lifted the old lady in his arms. I asked him what the hell is going on ? He said mind your own business And carried her behind the kitchen room. One of the room guy wants to know what will happen? He went stealthy and found that the room boy was busy ramming her against the wall while she was holding her saree up against her bosom. Since he is the pet room boy of owner Srinivasan I didn't tell him. I know he will not take action. They went on with their late night games….
After a few days, one afternoon the room boy was lying on her lap and watching TV in our lobby one afternoon. He tried to get fresh with her in front of everyone. Old woman pushed him down. He fell onto the floor. He got up and started fighting. Suddenly he kicked on her abdomen . Old woman hit the wall and fell down. Holding her stomach and Crying she went to her room.
When Srinivasan (owner) came to the lodge she told him only about the fight. And the room boy got kicked out of work.
Later, the room boy went to Bangalore and worked for a collection agency as a collection recovery agent for Money laundering business. Once he collected RS 3,00,000/ and returned only RS 2,00,000/ he told the agent that some goons attacked him and he was able to save only RS 2,00,000 for him. He got kicked out of job. He went to native place and with the stolen money he purchased Hero xtreme RS 1,00,000/
After some months… he got fully drunk and drove recklessly and crashed against the parapet at high speed. Luckily he escaped with minor injuries but the bike was completely damaged and he had to sell it for scrap value.
Later he got married. He did menial jobs in his native place in a forest area. Hunting wild animals like pigs and boar. Once a group of deers were crossing the road. He had a long sickle/ machete. One of the deer jumped over his head. He swings the sickle with Full force and deer 's. Leg got chopped off, it fell on the road and cried for life. To avoid the deer running away he went on to chop other legs . From far away other deers were watching one of their family members getting slaughtered. He took some meat to his home and the rest of the meat he sold in black market. I love animals.When he narrated the incident I had tears in my eyes.
Few months later when his wife was about seven months pregnant she went to market. One of the bison gored her to death. Her abdomen was split open. Intestine, placenta and unborn dead child was lying by the side of road. When he narrated the incident he had no feelings. When wild animals attack and kill people government will pay compensation. After few months he received money from government department. He spent thousands of rupees on liquor and food and celebrated with friends. Now he is doing menial job for survival.
We had an old caretaker in our lodge. He left his house when he was young. Traveled different parts of Kerala and Tamilnadu for job. Illiterate guy with hardly any qualifications but he got plenty of experience in life. He knows real estate and property dealing.
Around 60's he was in the company of local thugs. Prostitute , gambling,Drinking, mamool ( taking money from local traders) settings dispute with warring factions and and taking money from both sides. He drinks litres of locally made country liquors.
Around that time gopal nivas lodge was under construction. I don't know how he joined here for work. He became supervisor for construction workers. He gained the confidence of the founder of our lodge. I am sure he must have milked enough money through pilferages . construction materials like cement, concrete rods and commission from labourers.
He used to drink country liquor in litters and come to the lodge. Use foul language and shout at everyone . I hate that old ass hole. Vomit and collapse on to bed . Such a low life. He used to make fun of my memory but I never took him seriously. Later years when he lost memory he used to ask " where am I?" " Who is he? " ( Srinivasan. Owner) " i want to go home" ( which home? He left home when he was young) being illiterate and drunkard A . H he use foul and abusive words against me. I had the privilege and pleasure of watching hid slow and agonising death. Three months of struggle to breath till his death. What way he is superior to me? 50 years he worked for free food and accommodation only to die like an orphan.
John worked for 50 years without a salary. Just food and accommodation. Srinivasan used to tell every guest that John is like his Godfather. At 84 he fell ill due to old age. First he lost memory. Later he developed breathing problems. In a few days he went into a coma. Srinivasan admitted him to a nearby hospital. Already spent RS 65,000/ . He told the doctor to terminate his life by switching off the ventilator. Doctor refused and asked him to take John back to the lodge. John struggled for breath . He made noise while inhaling and exhaling. It was scary. Who knows when it will stop?
Srinivasan never visited him in his room till his death. He sits in an adjacent room and reads the newspaper, watches political debates, state / national or cricket. After three months struggling for breath one night he died. Srinivasan never visited his burial ground. What a character. That old man saved money for him. Taught him how to do real estate business.
If I can lay my hands on the local police station case file in 1960 ' s I can find criminal cases against John.
some bloody stupid people out of respect fall at the feet of old A. H . John. Just because someone becomes old doesn't mean they become a saint. Some of the people are with criminal records. If you want to fall at the feet and get blessings, fall at the feet of your parents. They gave you food, education and life. Be grateful to them.
Room boy Mani
Srinivasan is a man with criminal characters . He promotes room boys with criminal character. After I go to the room at 9.30 pm mani and other room boy Venkatesh use our kitchen as a bar. They drink every night. . Those illiterate room boys are from low life. He sells scrap items to buy liquor. All of them drink on duty. Unless tips are given no room service.
Srinivasan was promoting room boy Mani. Mani was getting more salary than me (manager). Srinivasan presented him with a 32" LCD TV, gold chain and extra money to keep him happy. Before mani left the job he took srinivasan' s money Rs 7000/. He also stole two 22" TV with him without informing srinivasan.
After Mani left job here he worked in a few other places but nobody kept him on the job. Now mani is back working for gopal nivas lodge. Srinivasan needs mani to hold his balls.
Who moved 360 feet borewell pipes when mani was on night shift? It's the work of an insider. How can you carry it from the first floor terrace? It didn't happen overnight. pilferage !
How can I get work done when Srinivasan is paying more salary to room boys than me (manager)
Room boy Venkatesh
He is still working for the lodge . He is the mother of scum on earth. His mother is mental. staying in government old age orphanage. He never visits his mother . srivasan's pet room boy. Once sinivasan told him to do some work and he said that he won't do that work. It was like a slap on srinivasan's face with slipper . Srinivasan cannot"extract" work from him . Venkatesh is the one supplying liquor for guests. He also gives room for prostitutes. He gets tips. Eat leftover food and drinks in the guest room. He picked up a loose character staying in the lodge and took her to the terrace room. I told him to keep his fucking business out of lodge and check out lady from the room. He takes the guest phone number from the register. Ring up and demand Rs 300 or 500 to be sent to him by gpay. Venkatesh was kicked out of duty twice for not doing his duty. He went and worked for Construction Company. When he came back and begs for job. Both his legs below the knee skin were peeled off due to cement allergy. He went to Srinivasan house and fell at his feet to get back his job. He works on night duty. He sleeps without even locking the main gate, watches a whole night pirated version of a new movie or watches porn. Chat with loose characters on chat messenger or zoom in at 3 or 4 am . On duty he goes out with them. He comes for duty at 10.30 or 11 am. Who will give room service in the morning? Sometimes he sleeps without locking the main gate. On a few occasions guests left without paying the balance amount. Just dropped the key at the reception and left. I only come to know of it when I am on duty. Once it was AC charge RS 1000/ and other time it was RS 600/ . Some times Rs 100 or RS 200 shortage. He will never admit that he had stolen money .since I gave the account to Srinivasan I had to put it from my pocket. Srinivasan will not take action against venkatesh. Now Srinivasan is promoting Venkatesh as if without him no lodge.
Other characters are not worth mentioning. Real life characters are more interesting than fake characters developed by story writers .
I am no saint. But unlike you I don't have dozens of skeletons in my cupboard. Only a couple of them. I am keeping it as a souvenir. I call it guilty pleasure. Sin .. sin... Sin 😂
