Respected sir,
This is not an anonymous letter. My name is jivan Lal. I have worked for lodge in Chennai. Pin no 6xxxxx for 15 years as lodge manager without a single day break. I was not given a service certificate and proper compensation.
Your government officials without even checking gave a corporation license certificate every year. Srinivasan, owner of our lodge give extra cash to get government certificates.
For renewal of corporation license paid property taxes bills, electricity and water tax bills are required.
1) Building stability certificate.
Nobody from the government department ever came and checked the building. He pays money and gets a building stability certificate from his friend. Our lodge is a 60 years old building. Cracks developed all over the building. Water proofing on the terrace is gone. If it is raining outside it will rain inside the guest rooms also. In some rooms water sweeps. Last painting was done more than 8 years ago. You can imagine peeled off paintings even in guest rooms.
From the original blueprint/ building plan there are so many deviations. Eight extra rooms, bathrooms and toilets are added. Senior officials can check and verify.
2) Sanitary inspection certificate.
No sanitary officials ever came and checked sump or overhead tanks for water quality. Water sump was cleaned more than 6 years ago. Overhead tank more than 5 years ago. None of the sanitary officers came and checked the drinking water quality. Dead crow in overhead tank, decomposed lizards, algaes, full of dust particles in drinking water. Guests use it for bathing and drinking. Rat infested kitchen.
3) Fire safety certificate.
Not even a single fire extinguisher in the lodge. None of the fire department officials came and checked yet. He gets a fire safety certificate by paying extra cash for government officials
4) Pesticides work and fumigation.
No pesticide or fumigation work was ever done.
5) No government officials from the labour department have visited our lodge for the past 15 years. As per labour register my weekly off is on Sunday but I was forced to work without a single day off for 15 years like a bonded labour.
Proof? Guest registers / arrival book, advance receipt and bill book, Register of wages, register of employment, wage slip / leave card .form-T. Will have my signature without a single day break. You may send higher labour officials to verify my claims.
I need proper compensation. Srinivasan must be paying a lump sum amount every year otherwise why none of the officials from the labour department ever visited our lodge?
6) Even after 5 years GST registration is not yet done. Bills are given without a GST registration number.
7) 18-7-2022 . Every lodge Bill amount should be added with 12 % tax to the total amount. No Bill is produced with 12% tax.
7) More than 9 years ago Srinivasan was fined by the Electricity Board for power theft. connecting load on a lighting meter and light connection on power. After paying fine of RS 2,50,000 / he is still running load on light connection. E B officials need to recheck.
8) Foreigners taking treatment near our lodge take room in our lodge. When foreigners stay in a lodge we have to take a Xerox copy of their passport and submit it to a nearby police station and another copy to immigration department. When they vacate the room we have to inform the police station and immigration department. This procedure is not followed. Srinivasan says “if a problem comes we will see to it”.
9) As per corporation license only 30 rooms are allowed but he is running 38 rooms. Balant violation of building plan .

10 ) Three others are also partners for lodge without their knowledge to reduce the taxes. Srinivasan's wife, sister and one more person. Srinivasan put their counter signatures and added them as partners. You may check this.
Sir, I request you to send concerned higher officials to check above mentioned violations and take appropriate actions against srinivasan.

This is not an anonymous letter. My name is Jivan Lal. I have worked as lodge manager for xxxx lodge, Chennai. 6xxxxx for more than 15 years like a bonded labour without a single day off . No service certificate and proper compensation was given yet.
More than ten years ago lodge owner Srinivasan was fined for power theft . Power/ load connection was given on the lighting meter and running the lodge for years . He was fined more than RS 2,50,000/ E B higher officials.
Now again he is running ACs , heaters and other equipment on the lighting meter. There are 13 AC and eight heater connections. Some of the units are running on light meter connections. You may send higher officials to check my report and take appropriate actions against Srinivasan for repeated offence.
Why I am sending this report is that Srinivasan refused to give me a 15 years service certificate and proper settlement.

My name is Jivan Lal. I worked for xxxxxx as manager for more than 15 years without a single day off like a bonded labour . I have not received a 15 years service certificate or proper settlement.
Owner of xxxxxxx Srinivasan is running a brothel and bar business in his lodge. His pet room boy Venkatesh gives room for prostitutes and for drinking purpose. When I complaint to srinivasan he says recent supreme court judgement permits consesus sex among adults. Take Xerox copies of their I D and give room. Police cannot do anything. They use for a couple of hours so we can sell the same room for two other guests in 24 hours.
Guests take rooms for drinking liquor. Room boy Venkatesh buys liquor and food for guests. He will get to eat leftover foods and get tips. He rings up regular guests and demands them to send RS 300 or 500 through G pay. Srinivasan says if guests are not creating problems for others what is your problem? Only star hotels with liquor permits can allow guests to drink in their rooms. Srinivasan is making fast bucks. xxx Lodge is no longer a family lodge.
Loyola college students take rooms for studies but almost all the guys smoke ganja (weed). Others are local guys.
Guests ID card Xerox copies are not taken nor records are maintained.
Sir, you don't have to trust me, you may conduct raids now and then to find out the truth. Hope you will take appropriate actions against owner Srinivasan.
Sir, I am a 65 years old family man. Throughout my life I was an honest man. Srinivasan will try to implicate me in some false cases. He got the support of local rowdies and local politicians.
